The Tilian Partnership contains seven schools, with their own Headteachers or Heads of School, under one Principal. The schools are part of the Tilian Partnership Multi Academy Trust. Our schools have Christian values at our heart. They are evident, in particular, in the schools' emphasis upon good relationships, inclusion, spirituality, and enjoyment, and on each pupil using their individual gifts to the full.
As church schools, we have a particular concern to be communities where all are appreciated and respected, where children are helped to reach their full potential, and where they are given a firm foundation for life.
Our Christian Values are:
> Respect and responsibility
> Self control and moderation
> Honesty and integrity
> Kindness and compassion
> Contentment and thankfulness
> Patience and perseverance
> Peace and Humility
> Loyalty and commitment
Each school has a Headteacher or Head of School, who is responsible for the day to day leadership and management of the school.
Each school has a School Governance Committee (SGC) who have delegated powers from the Tilian Trust Board to support and challenge their school. The constitution of the SGC is similar to a governing body.
- Two elected parents,
- The headteacher or Head of School,
- One elected staff member,
- Two representatives of the Community (as nominated by the SGC)
- Additional members (as agreed by the Trust Board)
- In church schools
- The incumbent of the Parish
- A representative of the church as nominated by the Parochial Church Council
- In non church schools
- Two members of the community
The name Tilian is an Anglo-Saxon word meaning "to aspire". We believe that schools should inspire pupils to aspire to reach their potential.
The Tilian logo represents the team work and drive of our organisation.
